Ein Lall
Ein Lall, a documentary film maker and video artist works from New Delhi and Colombo. Focussing on Women in the Arts she interweaves the documentary format with a creative imagination, using dance and music to suggest subliminal motifs in the work of women artists.
Her documentaries on renowned contemporary Indian dancers and artists - including Chandralekha, Leela Samson, Nalini Malani, Arpita Singh, have been screened on Doordarshan and at national and international festivals. Over the years she has made short films on educational and activist subjects for The Goethe Institute, Jagori, UNICEF and INTACH. She has created multi channel video installations for dance and theatre for performances at the National School of Drama, New Delhi; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; Japan Foundation,Tokyo ; Apeejay Media Gallery, New Delhi.
